Queensland Pool Barrier Requirements — Key Standards
- Pool fence minimum height: 1200mm measured on the outside of the fence
- Non-climbable zone: 900mm clear on the outside, no footholds or handholds
- Maximum gap between fence components: 100mm
- Gates must be self-closing and self-latching
- Gate latch must be at least 1500mm from ground on the pool side, or within a fully enclosed housing
- CPR sign must be clearly visible within the pool enclosure
