What Does a Gold Coast Pool Fence Inspection Cover?
A pool fence inspection is a systematic assessment of your entire pool barrier against Australian Standard AS1926 and the Queensland Development Code. Our inspector examines:
- Fence height — minimum 1200mm measured from the outside ground level
- Non-climbable zone (NCZ) — a 900mm clear zone on the outside of the fence, free from footholds, handholds and climbable objects
- Gate hardware — self-closing hinges, self-latching mechanisms, and correct latch height (minimum 1500mm from ground on pool side, or fully enclosed)
- Fence gaps and structural integrity — no gaps exceeding 100mm between rails or palings; no damaged sections
- CPR signage — correct sign displayed in a visible location within the pool enclosure
- Climbable objects and vegetation — outdoor furniture, plant pots, garden beds and trees within the NCZ
- Windows and doors — any door or window within the pool barrier zone must meet specific requirements

- Faded or illegible CPR signs
- Gaps at fence bases caused by soil movement or landscaping changes
